How To Feel Good When Ish Hits The Fan with NLP

Or how I got over losing 3 babies in 7 months with NLP and the power of my mind.

Feeling good when things are going well is easy.

Feeling good when sh*t hits the fan?

That’s a whole other banana.

That’s a Flex AND a skill to cultivate in life.

And that’s me, age 37 – more fabulous than ever. With 3 departed babies, a business in diapers, and to my chagrin, still no abs.

Yes, I know that’s triggering for some, and yet: This. Is. Life.

There will never be a “Problem-Free Life”; you will always have cause for anxiety and reasons to feel good – all at once!

Learning to feel good when things are not going according to plan –
That’s THE Achievement in Life.

Because WHO wouldn’t feel good sunning on the Amalfi coast, an icy mocktail in hand, a triple-fat bank account, and a hot Italian with washboard abs fanning their hat?

Nobody!

Now…

AND YOU MANAGE TO STILL FEEL GOOD AND KEEP A GOOD VIBE?

Then: You’ve Mastered Life.

Or at least, you mastered your mind. And that’s the key – where everything starts.

I got over the death, or departure, of my three babies, with a Single Belief Change – thanks to NLP.

Now that doesn’t mean I didn’t experience physical pain, inconvenience, work disruptions, or medical bills to boot. It just means I handled all of that a helluva lot better than I would have, had I not had the tools coaching gave me.

How a Single Belief Change Empowers You:

In NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming, when you take a belief from limiting to empowering – you’ve done a single belief change.

You can do this by:

  • Changing how the painful or limiting belief looks, sounds, and feels in your mind.  There’s a handy dandy 10m coaching technique for that.
  • Shifting the context of the belief or thought, for example, pushing someone in the street is bad, but pushing them out of a bus’ way is NICE
  • “Poking holes” in it, by asking what else could this be/mean? And finding one that feels good

Essentially, when you let a different perspective, opinion, fact, or detail permeate your mind and change how you feel about something, you’ve had a single belief change.

A Single Belief Change Can Take You from Pain to Power

When I heard Esther, from Abraham Hicks, say, “The departed are pure positive energy” I went from lamenting the death of my baby and wondering whether I had done “something wrong to manifest that” to being OK with it.

I changed the belief “My babies are dead, and that makes me sad.” To “My babies are pure positive energy, and they can never die like that.” This made me smile and removed all the pain, shame, and guilt from my body.

This is the power of a single belief or thought in your life. It can make or break your entire existence for a day, a week, or years!

This simple thought allowed me to move through: two missed miscarriages, a month of necessary bed rest, 4 chemical interventions  (one was a truly horrible one!) and an operation after three months of constant bleeding -yikes.

PLUS a hemorrhage rivaling Kill Bill in my gym pants – with a laugh!

Use a Single Belief Change to Power Your Life

What is a belief that is keeping you looping back to anxiety, sadness, or guilt right now? Think about it and write it down, then find an alternative that feels better to you in your body – when you feel relief, that’s the one.

  • Consider learning NLP tools that can help you shift your own beliefs in minutes
  • Open your mind to other possibilities, ask questions, get support
  • Invest in yourself by getting therapy or a certified NLP Coach

It just takes an open mind to receive new information and a commitment to yourself and your Well-Being. When you choose to put your good-feeling first, you’ll find ways to self-soothe and get relief no matter what.

You Can Get Through Anything with the right mindset and tools in life!
